The supreme body of the HR Swiss is the Meeting of Delegates, which convenes at least once a year. Each member of the HR Swiss sends two delegates. Their voting rights are determined by the number of members. The Meeting of Delegates elects its Chairman.

• The Chairman and the Board of the HR Swiss are elected by the Meeting of Delegates for a ten-ure of three years, which may be extended upon re-election for a further three years. The Board is constituted with due respect to the various regions and languages.
• The Board comprises a maximum of nine members, including the Chairman, and must in-clude two representatives from the German and French/Italian-speaking regions and one representative from each of the educational institutions.
• The tasks and areas of authority and responsibility of the HR Swiss's executive bodies are defined in the Articles of Association.
